Market-wide Put Call ratio declines 2.59%
The market closed in the positive zone on Monday. The overall market breadth was positive, around 71% of shares advanced on BSE and 73.7% of shares advanced on NSE. Out of the total 2,775 shares traded at the BSE, 1,973 advanced, 746 declined, while 56 remained unchanged.
The 30-share index opened with a promising positive gap of 83 points at 15,401.99.
Volumes on BSE and NSE both fell on Monday. The BSE clocked a turnover of Rs 47.4 billion and the total turnover on NSE amounted to Rs 101.5 billion.
The BSE Sensex settled at 15,422.05, up 103.45 points, or 0.68%, while the broad-based NSE Nifty closed at 4,474.75, up 0.24%.
On the derivative side at NSE, the market wide put call ratio declined on Monday by 2.59%, to 0.91, as against 0.93 on Friday.
Nifty open interest put call ratio advanced 5.18%, to 1.53. Futures open interest advanced 1.99%.
Nifty puts added 1.70 million numbers in open interest. Nifty Calls added 550 thousand numbers in open interest.
Tata Power, National Aluminium and Ambuja Cement topped the Nifty most delivered chart, while Tata Steel, SBI, and ACC topped the Nifty least delivered chart.
