Mexico eyes USD 10 bn from India

Mexico is looking forward to an investment of USD 10 billion from India in next five years. Presently, the Indian investment in the country stands at USD 3 billion.

Indo-Mexico Business Board said that Mexico is looking to draw investment from sectors like steel, automobile education, IT, pharmaceutical, tourism and infrastructure. The chairman of the board, Luis Wertman said that the board prefer companies such as Tata and Mahindra to invest in Mexico, which is ready to provide all the facilities.

In addition to that, to boost tourism sector Luis invited companies like Taj and Leela Hotel to invest in Mexico.

At the same time, Mexico is also exploring options to pour investment in In dia. The country`s largest bread maker, Binbo and Gruma and other agro industries are looking at opportunities to step into the processed food segment in India.
