BHEL declares 60% final dividend The members of Bharat Heavy Electricals, at the annual general meeting (AGM) of the company held on Sep 17, 2007, declared final dividend of 60% on the enhanced paid up capital (post bonus issue) of Rs 4,895.2 million. The company announced good increase in net profit for the quarter ended June 2007. During the quarter, the profit rose 22.07% to Rs 2,889.10 million from Rs 2,366.70 million in the corresponding quarter, last year. Net sales for the quarter rose 21.74% to Rs 32,339.20 million, compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago. Shares of the company closed down Rs 0.15, or 0.01%, at Rs 1,897.4. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 103,049. (Monday)
