Market still in negative The 30-share BSE Sensex continues to trade in the negative zone, as sustained selling pressure is being witnessed in heavyweifgts. It touched a low of 15,467.46 in the intraday trades. Select stocks from banking, realty and IT lost ground, while auto stock rose. The BSE Sensex is trading at 15,529.47, down 74.33 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 4,519.75, marginally up 1.75 points (2.48 p.m). The BSE Midcap rose 0.43%, while BSE Smallcap rose 0.92%.

Out of the total 2,778 shares traded at the BSE, 1,426 advanced, 1,301 declined while 51 remained unchanged.
Amongst the sectoral indices, BSE Auto rose 0.30%, while BSE Bankex dipped 0.39%, BSE Realty declined 0.52%, and BSE IT declined 1.40%.
Key gainers at the Sensex include Reliance Energy, which gained 2.88% to Rs 908.10, followed by Maruti Udyog which rose 1.41% at Rs 878.00 and ACC rose 1.37% to Rs 1,122.00.
Ambuja Cement, Bajaj Auto, BHEL, ITC, Tata Steel and Reliance Industries were among the other gainers in the Sensex pack.
Laggards at the BSE Sensex were TCS, which dipped 2.03% at Rs 1001.80, Bharti Airtel declined 1.79% at Rs 816.00, and NTPC dropped 1.70% at Rs 182.50.
Satyam, Reliance Comm, Infosys, HDFC and Ranbaxy also slipped.
