Market-wide Put Call ratio advances 48.50%

The markets gained on Friday. The overall market breadth was negative, around 63.1% of shares declined on BSE and 71.1% of shares declined on NSE. Out of the total 2,761 shares traded at the BSE, 964 advanced, 1,744 declined, while 53 remained unchanged.

Volumes on BSE and NSE both rose on Friday. The BSE clocked a turnover of Rs 65.0 billion and the total turnover on NSE amounted to Rs 125.0 billion. After gaining 210.21 points, the Sensex fell marginally by 0.07%, or 10.64 points, to close at 15,603.80. While the broad-based NSE Nifty slipped 10.95 points, or 0.24%, to settle at 4,518.

On the derivative side at NSE, the market wide put call ratio advanced on Friday by 48.50%, to 1.08, as against 0.73 on Thursday.

Nifty open interest put call ratio was 1.53. Futures open interest declined 1.00%.

Nifty puts added 610 thousand numbers in o pen interest. Nifty calls added 547 thousand numbers in open interest.

Infosys, HDFC and Glaxo topped the Nifty most delivered chart, while Tata Steel, RPL and MTNL topped the Nifty least delivered chart.
