Brokers Outlook: Markets to stay positive on Tuesday

Bhupendra Sharma, vice president, Hornic Investments, said today (September 17) markets opened firm but after mid session profit booking was witnessed which led to market closing down. Metal and sugar sector outperformed market today. Most of the metal stocks are near their 52-week high. According to him, sugar sector is in a consolidation phase so one can buy these stocks at the current level.

He expects market to open weak on Tuesday but hopes it will recover after mid session. He also added that Fed meet outcome would be announced tomorrow but it would not impact market much. He is bullish on stocks like Sunflag Iron & Steel, Ispat Industries, Titan Industries, Kotak Bank, Triveni Engineering and HOCL.

Anand Dama, analyst, KJMC Capital Services, opined that market was volatile today. Market was tr ading firm in the morning but it took negative cues from the European market and went down quite sharply. Bankex and tech sector was trading down at the bourses. He expects market to stay positive in the next trading session. He is bullish on construction and power sector. He recommends investors to hold Tata Chemicals at the current level.
