Suraj Stainless allots bonus shares >The board of directors (BoD) of Suraj Stainless, (Q, N,C,F)* at its meeting held on Sep. 17, 2007 allotted 11,339,400 number of equity shares as bonus shares to the holders of equity shares of the company as on Sep. 17, 2007, being the record date for the purpose of ascertaining their rights for bonus shares.
Suraj Stainless announced phenomenal jump in net profit for the quarter ended June 2007. During the quarter, the profit rose 2.67 times to Rs 36.67 million from Rs 13.72 million in the corresponding quarter, las t year.
Total income dipped 99.63% to Rs 1.49 million, with other income rising 8.7 times to Rs 1.49 million, compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago.
Shares of the company were last trading down Rs 11.15, or 7.9%, to Rs 130.05. The total volume of shares traded was 44,061 at the BSE. (Monday)
