AXIS Bank allots shares under ESOP The committee of directors of AXIS Bank, (Q, N,C,F)* which met on Sep. 18, 2007, allotted 286,562 equity shares of Rs 10 each to the employees of the bank under ESOP. > Pursuant to the allotment, the paid up share capital of the bank increased to 356,510,561 equity shares. UTI Bank announced a substantial jump of 45.15% in earning for the quarter ended June 2007. Duri ng the quarter, the company saw a rise in profit to Rs 1,749.80 million from Rs 1,205.50 million in the same quarter last year. The interest and operating income for the quarter jumped 61.12% to Rs 15,369.7 million compared with the same quarter, a year ago. Shares of the bank gained Rs 1.45, or 0.22%, to trade at Rs 659.5. The total volume of shares traded was 70,553 at the BSE. (1.33 pm, Tuesday)
