Deepak Spinners net up 3 times for Jun`07 qtr Deepak Spinners registered 3 times growth in net profit to Rs 15.30 million for the quarter ended June 2007 from Rs 5.10 million for the corresponding quarter last fiscal. Net sales for the quarter declined 20.39% to Rs 418.90 million from Rs 526.20 million for the same quarter a year ago. Total income for the quarter dipped 18.66% to Rs 417.1 million from Rs 512.8 million for the same quarter last fiscal. The earnings per share (EPS) of the company rose 2.98 times to Rs 2.12 in the quarter ended June 2007. Deepak Spinners (Q, N,C,F)* was incorporated in 1982 and manufactures synthetic blended yarns, both grey and dyed, made of polyester, viscose, acrylic, and other man-made files. The company has plants at Solan in Himachal Pradesh and Guna in Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the major exporters of blended yarn. >
