State Trading Corp. to consider bonus issue >A meeting of the board of directors of State Trading (Q, N,C,F)* Corporation will be held on Sep. 26, 2007 to recommend allotment of bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1 subject to approval of the shareholders.
State Trading Corporation of India disclosed a phenomenal jump in net profit for the quarter ended in June 2007. During the quarter, the company reported a 85.93% rise in profit to Rs 173.10 million from Rs 93.10 million in the same quarter last year.
Sales for the qu arter rose 93.95% to Rs 27,699.60 million compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago.
Shares of the company gained Rs 31.35, or 15.78%, to trade at Rs 230. The total volume of shares traded was 154,137 at the BSE.(1.34 pm ,Tuesday)
