TVS to foray into private equity space The TVS group seems to have blue printed plans to enter into private equity/venture capital, reports DNA. It is not known whether TVS will invest only in ventures that have a direct bearing on the group`s businesses, or whether it will look at opportunities available worldwide . The website of IIM Calcutta hosts the company`s recruitment requirements and operations are set to start soon. >Gopal Srinivasan, whole-time director of TVS Electronics, joint managing director of Sundaram-Clayton and TVS Motor, and also director of various other TVS Group companies, is said to be spearheading the initiative. Many Indian corporates have started getting into the private equity/venture capital space. Shares of the company declined Rs 1.15, or 1.64%, to trade at Rs 69.10. The total volume of shares traded was 151,082 at the BSE.(Monday).
