RBI auctions 182-day T-bills

RBI auctioned 182-day T-bills today (September 19), which was oversubscribed.

The notified amount for the auction was Rs 25 billion out of which Rs 20 billion was market stabilization scheme (MSS) amount. The multiple price-based auction for the bills remained oversubscribed. RBI received 102 competitive bids worth Rs 99.80 billion for the bills. However, it accepted only 38 bids for the notified amount.

The cut-off price determined at Rs 96.51 offered a ytm (yield to maturity) of 7.2523%.

The weighted average price worked out to Rs 96.52, while the partial allotment percentage of competitive bids was 21.09 from 20 bids.

The apex bank did not received non-competitive bids for the treasury bills.
