Genus Power to consider share issue >A meeting of the board of directors of Genus Power (Q, N,C,F)* Infrastructures will be held on Sep. 21, 2007 to consider issuance of equity shares on preferential basis. Genus Power Infrastructure disclosed a phenomenal jump in net profit for the quarter ended in June 2007. During the quarter, the company reported a 87.87% rise in profit to Rs 69.23 million from Rs 36.85 million in the same quarter last year. Sales for the quarter rose 63.82% to Rs 835.28 million compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago.
Shares of the company gained Rs 16.2, or 2.76%, to settle at Rs 603.9. The total volume of shares traded was 49,941 at the BSE.(Wednesday)
