Nagarjuna Construction vaults 4.70% on bagging order worth Rs 15.58 bn Shares of Nagarjuna Construction rose 4.70% on news of bagging order worth Rs 15.58 billion from SAIL. >Shares of the company were last trading up Rs 10.25, or 4.70%, at Rs 228.50, as against the previous day close of Rs 218.25 (1.00 p.m, Wednesday, BSE). Total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 280,129. Nagarjuna Construction in consortium with POSCO E & C of South Korea has bagged an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract valued at Rs 15.58 billion from Steel Authority of India (SAIL) for IISCO steel plant at Burnpur, West Bengal. The project comprises of setting up of blast furnace complex, to be completed over a period of 30 months. This will be the largest blast furnace in India and will be based on state-of-the-art technology of POSCO E&C. The stock ga ined 2.72% over the past week, and that of 19.76% over the last month.
