Tulip IT Services bags Rs 530 mn contract

>Tulip IT Services, bagged Rs 530 million order from the West Bengal State Wide Area Network Project. The network will be established on Build Own Operate & Transfer (BOOT) model by the company and it will deploy, manage and operate the entire network for a period of five years.

The network supports data, voice and video, and will enable the state to implement various eGovernance initiatives.

With this contract the company further strengthened its position in the field of setting up eGovernance infrastructure. It supports various eGovernance projects through its reach in various rural parts of India and has implemented the Akshaya Project for the government of Kerala and is presently implementing the Haryana SWAN Project. The c ompany also implemented data center projects for various state governments over the past year.

Shares of the company gained Rs 10.4 , or 1.21%, to Rs 867.35. The total volume of shares traded were 13,179 at the BSE.(Wednesday).
