Gemini Communication bags Rs 100 mn BSNL order Networking company Gemini Communication (GCL) bagged a Rs 100 million contract from BSNL for installation and commissioning of telecom equipments. These 11 circles include Andaman & Nicobar, Andhra Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Kerala. Ram Kumar, executive director, GCL said, “GCL is expanding its service area into Cellular Communication from the hitherto stronghold of broadband access networks with this contract. GCL will deploy skilled manpower, installation tools, aids and measuring instruments, gauges in each of the 11 circles for expediting the performance of work.“ The installation and commissioning includes acceptance testing of Telecom WLL CDMA 2000 in MSC/BSC/BTS/ Repeater equipments and their connected accessories. Shares of the company closed down Rs 4.80, or 2.02%, at Rs 232.55. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 35,129. (Wednesday)

Under the contract, the company will install and commission telecom equipments and connected accessories across BSNL`s 11 circles in India.
The CDMA deploymen t will substantially enhance connectivity and clarity across India for BSNL subscribers.
