Asian Electronics board to consider ESOP

>A meeting of the board of directors (BoD) of the Asian Electronics (Q, N,C,F)* will be held on Sep. 27, 2007, to consider and approve the Employees Stock Option Scheme 2007 (ESOP 2007) and also to call an Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the shareholders of the company, to approve the above scheme.

Asian Electronics, disclosed phenomenal jump in net profit for the quarter ended June 2007. During the quarter, the profit rose 4.55 times to Rs 284.40 million from Rs 62.50 million in the corresponding quarter, last year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 56.09% to Rs 838.50 million, compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago.

Shares of the company declined Rs 12.05, or 1.23%, to Rs 968.25. The total volume of shares traded was 45,739 at the BSE. (Friday)
