Genus Power to issue 1.5 mn equity shares >The board of directors (BoD) of Genus Power (Q, N,C,F)* Infrastructures, at its meeting held on Sep.21, 2007, decided to issue up to 1.5 million equity shares of Rs 10 each, at a price of Rs 560 a share on a preferential basis to the financial investors. Further, the board decided to conduct an extra ordinary general meeting (EGM) to seek the approval of the members of the company for the above preferential allotments.
Genus Power Infrastructure,reported phenomenal jump in net profit for the quarter ended June 2007. During the quarter, the profit rose 87.87% to Rs 69.23 million from Rs 36.85 million, in the corresponding quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 63.82% to Rs 835.28 million, compared with the
corresponding quarter, a year ago.
Shares of the company declined Rs 9.5 , or 1.53%, to Rs 610.7. The total volume of shares traded were 44,511 at the BSE.(Friday ).
