Reliance Retail to step into apparel biz
Reliance Retail to step into apparel biz Reliance Retail will foray into the apparel market this month and will open 115 apparel stores in New Delhi, reports Business Standard. The apparel stores will constitute all kinds of apparel, about 4,000 products across as many as 94 brands which will be manufactured exclusively for the company. Reliance has 211 designers and has tied up with a large number of apparel manufacturers for merchandise. The apparel retail foray is led by Sriram Srinivasan who is the former managing director of Indian Terrain. Reliance Retail has planned nine product formats and will soon launch Reliance Fo otwear, Reliance Lifestyle and Reliance Auto. The company has already launched Reliance Fresh, Reliance Digital, and the Reliancemart hypermarket chain. The company has also launched its B2B initiative, labelled Ranger Farms that will cater to small retailers in Hyderabad.
