Retail prices of essential commodities remain stable Retail prices of essential commodities remained almost stable or showed mixed trend in the week ended Sep. 14, 2007. Prices of rice, wheat, atta, gram, groundnut oil, vanaspati, tea, milk and salt were stable over the week. Turdal prices increased by 50 paise/kg at Delhi, sugar by 50 paise/kg at Mumbai and mustard oil by Rs 2 /kg at Kolkata. Prices declined in the case of potato by 50 paise/kg at Delhi and onion by Rs 3/ kg at Mumbai. In Delhi, prices of rice, wheat and atta remained steady over six months and that of sugar, mustard oil, vanaspati, milk and salt remained steady over the month.
