Usha Martin acquires BPO unit in UK Usha Martin Group, acquired UK-based outsourcer Converso Contact Centres for an undisclosed sum, reports DNA. The acquisition which is aimed to accelerate the company`s business process outsourcing (BPO) operations in India, South Africa and UK is expected to create 1,400 new jobs in India and South Africa. >The USD 750 million Usha Martin (Q, N,C,F)* group have established its presence in telecom, software, mining and manufacturing. It also owns Ushacomm and Eppixcomm, the world`s leading providers of business support systems for fixed, mobile, broadband/IP, cable, and satellite markets across America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
Shares of the company closed up Rs 0.15, or 0.29%, at Rs 51.95. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 101,744. (Friday)
