Ankur Drugs considers merger with Vaibhav Healthcare >Pursuant to the order made by the high court of judicature at Bombay, a meeting of the equity shareholders of Ankur Drugs (Q, N,C,F)* and Pharma, will be held on Oct. 8, 2007 for the purpose of considering and approving the merger of Vaibhav Healthcare with the company and their respective shareholders and creditors.
Ankur Drugs and Pharma has disclosed a phenomenal jump in net profit for the quarter ended in June 2007. During the quarter, the company reported a 54.79% rise in profit to Rs 90.18 million from Rs 58.26 million in the same quarter last year.
Sales for the quarter rose 60.46% to Rs 970.11 million compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago.
Shares of the company declined Rs 8.2, or 1.91%, to settle at Rs 420.5. The total volume of shares traded was 16,918 at the BSE.(Monday)
