European markets trading higher
European markets trading higher European stocks rallied for a fifth consecutive day, led by BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto Group and Antofagasta after copper, gold and silver prices rose. Bayerische Motoren Werke led automakers higher after Barron`s said the stock may rise 20%. Deutsche Bank declined for a third day after Reuters reported Germany`s biggest bank may have to write down as much as 1.7 billion Euro (USD 2.4 billion) in leveraged loan commitments. UK`s index FTSE 100 gained 14.50 points, or 0.22%, to trade at 6,471.20. French benchmark index, CAC 40, declined 8.16 points, or 0.14% to trade at 5,692.49. Germany`s index DAX declined 8.06 points, or 0.10%, to trade at 7,786.37. Italy`s MILAN MIB30 declined 58 points, or 0.15%, to trade at 40,028.00. (9.30 p.m, IST)
