HCL Technologies allots shares under ESOP >The employees stock option allotment committee of HCL Technologies, on Sep. 24, 2007, allotted 60,488 equity shares of Rs 2 each, under the 1999, 2000 and 2004 stock option plans of the company. Consequent to the above allotment the paid-up share capital of the company has increased to 663,775,124 equity shares of Rs 2 each aggregating to Rs 1,327,550,248.
HCL Technologies announced a phenomenal jump in net profit for the quarter ended June 2007. During the quarter, the company`s profit went up 2.87 times to Rs 3,912.30 million from Rs 1,364.50 million in the same quarter last year.
Sales for the quarter rose 18.42% to Rs 9,411.30 million compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago.
Shares of the company gained Rs 1.35, or 0.49%, to settle at Rs 278.8. The total volume of shares traded was 224,544 at the BSE.(Monday)
