Result Analysis: Kopran swungs to loss for Jun`07 qtr

Kopran swung to a loss for the quarter ended June 2007. During the quarter, the company experienced a loss of Rs 152.5 million as compared with a profit of Rs 0.20 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Net sales for the quarter declined 41.28% to Rs 178.10 million compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago.

Operating margins, during the quarter fell to a negative 41.83%  compared with 4.15% in the same quarter last year. Net margins, on the other hand, fell to a negative of 84.21% during the quarter from 0.06%. Excluding extraordinary income, the net margin is estimated to be at a negative of 85.63%.

Loss per share for the quarter was Rs 4.58.
