United Spirits allots equity shares >The committee of directors of United Spirits, at its meeting held on Sep. 24, 2007, allotted 215,038 equity shares of Rs 10 each on conversion of 3,780 bonds aggregating to USD 3.78 million at a conversion price of Rs 781 an equity share with the fixed rate of exchange on conversion of Rs 44.43 or USD 1.00. The above conversion is from the USD 100 million 2% convertible bonds due 2011, issued by the company in 2006. Consequent to the above allotment on conversion of bonds, the total issued and paid up equity capital of the company stands increased to Rs 983,439,690 divided from the present equity capital of Rs 981,289,310.
Shares of th e company gained Rs 14.05, or 0.81%, to settle at Rs 1,738.4. The total volume of shares traded was 96,359 at the BSE.(Monday )
