BAG Films issues warrantstp promoters The board of directors of BAG Films & Media, at its meeting held on Sep. 25, 2007, >issued 10,000,000 warrants convertible into equity shares of Anu Films & Communications, which is the promoter group company of the company. The board approved preferential issue of 10,379,232 equity shares to FID Funds. It also approved the increase in authorised capital of the company from the existing Rs 250 million to Rs 300 million. The company reported a substantial jump in net profit for the quarter ended June 2007. During the quarter, the company experienced a 40.68% rise in profit to Rs 7.85 million from Rs 5.58 million in the same quarter last year. Net sales for the quarter rose 4.86% to Rs 91.91 million compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago. Shares of the company closed up Rs 3.10, or 5%, at Rs 65.15. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 766,180. (Tuesday)
