Godawari Power and Ispat declare final dividend The members of Godawari Power & Ispat at the annual general meeting (AGM) held on Sep. 25, 2007, declared final dividend of Rs 2 a share. The company reported a phenomenal jump in net profit for the quarter ended June 2007. During the quarter, the company reported a 72.91% rise in profit to Rs 209.40 million as compared with Rs 121.10 million in the same quarter last year. Net sales for the quarter rose 59.10% to Rs 1,701.90 million compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago. Shares of the company closed down Rs 2.35, or 1.05%, at Rs 221.00. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 14,815. (Tuesday)
