Lupin to set up Rs 400 mn plant >Lupin announced that the company through its wholly owned subsidiary, Lupin Pharmacare, plans to set up a plant with an investment of Rs 400 million for manufacturing steroids and other formulations at the special economic zone at Indore. Recently on Sep. 11, 2007, the court of appeals for the Federal Circuit gave decision in favour of Lupin on Ramipril. The court of appeals reversed the district court decision which had found Aventis` patent on Ramipril as invalid. Aventis owns the `722 patent in question and King Pharmaceuticals markets Altace.
Shares of the company declined 0.60, or 0.10%, to settle at Rs 576. The total volume of shares traded was 10,855 at the BSE.(3.57 p.m, Tuesday)
