Saboo Sodium board mulls Fortress Hotels acquisition A meeting of the board of directors (BoD) of Saboo Sodium Chloro will be held on Sep. 27, 2007, to consider acquisition of stake in the Fortress Hotels and Resorts, a company engaged in the hospitality business. > Saboo Sodium Chloro reported substantial jump in net profit for the quarter ended June 2007. During the quarter, the profit rose 36.20% to Rs 8.39 million from Rs 6.16 million, in the corresponding quarter last year. Net sales for the quarter rose 1.05% to Rs 31.66 million, compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago. Shares of the company were last trading up Rs 2.25, or 4.97%, at Rs 47.55.
