Elecon Engg fixes record date for bonus shares Elecon Engineering fixed Oct. 11, 2007 as the record date for the purpose of issue of bonus shares. > The company will be allotting two bonus shares for every one of share held. The company announced phenomenal jump in net profit for the quarter ended June 2007. During the quarter, the company reported 92.58% rise in profit to Rs 104.05 million from Rs 54.03 million, in the corresponding quarter last year. Net sales for the quarter rose 37.06% to Rs 1296.29 million, compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago. Shares of the company closed up Rs 8.65, or 1.29%, at Rs 679.7. The total volume of shares traded were 22,293 at the BSE. (Tuesday)
