Google may lease undersea cable from RCom

Search engine Google may enter into a long-term lease agreement with Flag Telecom, subsidiary of Reliance Communication (RCom) for its trans-Pacific undersea communications cable, reports Business Standard.                        >

Both the parties may even set up the undersea cable in collaboration.

Google may lease 500 GB bandwidth from Flag Telecom for a about USD 80-100 million.
 
Flag Telecom plans to set up a trans-Pacific cable at a cost of Rs 60 billion.

Shares of RCom closed down Rs 3.90, or 0.65%, at Rs 594.35. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 1,890,030. (Tuesday)
