Kajaria Ceramics declares 10% dividend >The shareholders of Kajaria Ceramics, (Q, N,C,F)* at the annual general meeting (AGM) of the company held on Sep. 26, 2007, approved the payment of dividend of 10% a equity share for the year ended Mar. 31, 2007. Further the member authorized the board to issue and allot up to 12.7 million convertible warrants on a preferential basis to promoters and promoter group of the company. Each warrant is convertible into equity share.
Kajaria Ceramics, announced steep drop of 63.17% in net profit for the quarter ended June 2007. During the quarter, the profit swung to Rs 22.80 million from Rs 61.90 million, in the corresponding quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 13.61% to Rs 982.40 million, compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago.
Shares of the company were last trading down Rs 0.25 , or 0.86%, to Rs 28.75. The total volume of shares traded were 14,408 at the BSE.(Wednesday).
