Market-wide Put Call ratio advances 3.14% The market closed in the positive zone on Tuesday. The overall market breadth was negative, around 58.7% of shares declined on BSE and 60.6% of shares declined on NSE. Out of the total 2,816 shares traded at the BSE, 1,111 advanced, 1,653 declined, while 52 remained unchanged. Volumes on BSE and NSE both rose on Tuesday. The BSE clocked a turnover of Rs 74.9 billion and the total turnover on NSE amounted to Rs 178.0 billion. On the derivative side at NSE, the market wide put call ratio advanced on Tuesday by 3.14%, to 0.71, as against 0.69 on Monday. Nifty open interest put call ratio was 1.59. Futures open interest advanced 1.39%. Nifty puts added 839 thousand n umbers in open interest. Nifty calls added 853 thousand numbers in open interest. Suzlon, IPCL and M & M topped the Nifty most delivered chart, while SBI,Tata Steel, BPCL, and SAIL topped the Nifty least delivered chart.
The BSE Sensex rose 0.32%, or 53.71 points, to close at 16,899.54, while the broad-based NSE Nifty gained 6.65 points, or 0.13%, to settle at 4,938.85. The CNX Nifty closed nearing the 5,000 mark.
