Bharati Shipyard, Apeejay group join hands to set up ship building unit Mumbai-based Bharati Shipyard (Q, N,C,F)* and the Apeejay Surendra group in a joint venture are setting up a ship building unit in Orissa at an investment of Rs 22 billion, reports Business Standard. >The project, to be spread across 1,050 acres, wil l be coming up at Dhamara, dist. Bhadrakh. The project, proposed to be completed in three phases, is expected to generate direct and indirect employment for more than 40,000 people. The steel requirement for the project is likely to be in excess of 0.7 million metric tons across the three phases.
Shares of the Bharati Shipyard closed down Rs 3.90, or 0.65%, at Rs 17,549. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 17,549. (Wednesday)
