SBI aims at disbursing Rs 1.5 bn through loan melas
SBI aims at disbursing Rs 1.5 bn through loan melas India`s largest lender State Bank of India (Q, N,C,F)* (SBI) has set a target of disbursing Rs 1.5 billion through two property fairs, reports Business Standard. The bank expects to approve loans of more than Rs 50 billion and disburse Rs 1.5 billion through home loans and car loans. During the fair, SBI would offer rate cut of up to 75 basis point and also discount on processing fees.

The property fair `SBI Home Loan Mahotsav` will be held at Kolkata`s City Centre in Salt Lake and Netaji Indoor Stadium in October.
The bank expects 50 property developers to participate in the fairs.
Shares of the bank closed up Rs 44.25, or 2.45%, at Rs 1,848.10. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 725,431. (Wednesday)
