C & C Constructions net up 2.12 times in Jun 07`qtr

New Delhi based, C&C Constructions, engaged in construction of highways, airports, laying of optic fiber cables and maintenance of telecom network reported substantial jump of 2.12 times in net profit on quarter on quarter (q-o-q) basis for the quarter ended June 2007. During the quarter, the company saw rise in profit to Rs 174.46 million from Rs 82.18 million, in the previous quarter this year.

Net sales for the quarter climbed 23.48% to Rs 1.300.29 million from Rs 1,052.98 million, in the quarter ended April 2007.

Total income for the quarter jumped 27.73% to Rs 1,354.71 million from Rs 1,060.55 million, in the quarter ended April 2007.

The earnings per share for the quarter jumped 84% to Rs 9.55 compared with Rs 5.19 in the previous quarter this year.

Yearly Result

C&C Constructions posted net profit of 331.73 million in the year ended June 2007. For the same period it registered sales of Rs 3,304.18 million and total income of Rs 3,362.22 million.

Earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs 22.23.

In February 2007, the company entered in the capital market with an initial public offer of 42,69,451 equity shares of Rs 10 each at a price band between Rs 270 and Rs 291 a share. The issue  was over-subscribed 50.07 times.
