Dhunseri Tea board approves merger with Tezpore Tea >The board of directors of Dhunseri Tea (Q, N,C,F)* and Industries, at its meeting held on Sep. 28, 2007, approved the scheme of amalgamation of Tezpore Tea with the company with effect from Apr. 1, 2007. As per the terms of amalgamation, the company will issue and allot one equity shares of Rs 10 each of the company to the shareholders of Tezpore Tea for every two ordinary shares of Rs 10 each held by the said shareholders in Teapore Tea. The scheme is subject to the approvals of shareholders and sanction of the high court at Calcutta.
Shares of the company gained Rs 1.15, or 1.52%, to settle at Rs 76.9. The total volume of shares traded was 9,038 at the BSE.(Friday)
