Jindal Steel to fly airplanes, receives nod >Jindal Steel and Power announced that the shareholders of the company have given approval to enter into aviation business and authorized the board to commence this business. At present, Jindal Steel & Power has business interests in steel production, power generation, mining iron ore, coal and diamond exploration/mining. The company set up a rail and universal beam mill producing the world`s longest 120-meter long finished rails for the first time in India.
Shares of the company gained Rs 83.7, or 1.64%, to settle at Rs 5,182.9. The total volume of shares traded was 16,122 at the BSE.(Friday)
