Vijayeswari Textiles shifting focus to European markets In a bid to insulate itself against the weakening dollar, the Coimbatore-based Vijayeswari Textiles is shifting its focus from the US market to the European markets, reports Business Line. > The company, a maker of premium bed linens, has hired a European executive with substantial experience of the markets to tap the retail segment in Europe. Vijayeswari Textiles also plans to focus on downstream activities which include weaving and processing. It also intends to enha nce its production and foray into the niche fashion-oriented home-textiles segment.
Shares of the company closed down Rs 1.95, or 2.87%, at Rs 66.00. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE 1,986. (Thursday)
