Bharat Gold Mines to be revived
The talk of reviving the renowned Kolar gold mines is on, six years after the idle mines were ordered closed.
Two union ministers of state spoke of a central plan to revive Bharat Gold Mines, the sick PSU, seeking the aid of international partners.
Global tenders, after evaluation, would be called in about three months to find a bidder to keep the venture going. However, an alternative was to find a partner for an employee initiative to revive the mines.
