Day of Apple iPhone launch in India is not so far. Sources say , Indian Operators are in intense discussions with Apple .
Airtel and Vodafone are said to be leading the race . Airtel is said to have worked out model even on Prepaid with a one time cost and revenue share every month in case of postpaid.
Vodafone on the other hand is pitching for Post Paid Model with revenue share every month like ATT , O2. Vodafone wants it to be positioned as a premium phone in India whereas Airtel wants it to be a Mass Market Phone.Both operators are in separate discussions with Apple.
Lauch of March 2008 can be expected in India though no one confirms this.It could be even later…
If you could not wait so long , get it form grey market like what we did for iPods.
