Bombay H C to hear RNRL RIL dispute today

The Bombay High Court on Friday will start hearing the Reliance Natural Resources (RNRL) Reliance Industries (RIL) case over the vexed gas supply issue on a day-to-day basis. The court on February 25 adjournment the matter as RNRL senior counsel Mukul Rohtagi was injured following an accident.

The outcome of the case will have enormous implications for RIL, RNRL and for the entire country as gas production is slated to begin in a few months. This is because the court has restrained RIL from selling upto 80 mmscmd of gas to any third party. RIL, not being able to firm gas contracts, had sought that the stay be lifted
