Finance Ministry notifies 6th Pay Commission Award
The Sixth Pay Commission has come out with recommendations on the implementation of revised pay scales from January 1 2006. It introduces running pay bands for all government posts in scales of Rs 26,000. It proposed a distinct grade pay for all posts barring the Cabinet Secretary.
