TATA TELE Services (TTSL) will launch GSM Service in Chennai and TamilNadu soon.The company has received start up spectrum for the circle. It is expected to start the service in next few months.
Im already getting ” TATA ” signal when i search for Operator in my handset .Im getting this signal when i m in coimbatore area.
Company has to compete with Aircel , Airtel , Reliance , Vodafone , Idea , BSNL in GSM Space here….

Tata Teleservices to launch its GSM services in Tamil
Nadu circle and lined up GSM launch in Orissa, Kerala, Karnataka in the next 10 days.
When contacted a Tata DoCoMo spokesperson declined to comment.
On June 10, the country’s second largest CDMA telecom operator while announcing the GSM services had said that the commercial launch would begin with the telecom circles in South India.

M so happy tata docomo has finally launched in Tamil Nadu.. i was jus waiting to take a connection..for me its working great..superb network..thr VAS scheme are really attractive..with 100 free sms,timed sms, free voice mail.. m very happy to get a tata docomo connection..thank you tata..

gprs plans for tata docomo are quite sad…altho i did see on their facebook page that they’re gonna laucnh new unlimited gprs plans..but theres absiolutely no info on tht anywhere ion the net! strange
We have finally launched our unlimited GPRS plan and we will be introducing it in 2 packages. The first package will be the ‘Rs. 15 GPRS Pack’. This is a pre paid pack wherein a customer can recharge with Rs.15, and thereafter the customer will be allowed to access unlimited data for next 3 days by selecting Docomo internet APN on their handsets. The second package will be the ‘Rs. 95 GPRS Pack’. In this pack, the customer can recharge with Rs. 95, and thereafter the customer will be allowed to access unlimited data for the next 30 days. These packages will be applicable to TATADOCOMO home and roaming network only.

From my opinion, reliance GSM is not equal to anyone, while comparing other comm. services. as they have full talktime on 80 and 100 every time, and local goes 40 paise std goes for 50 paise with good voice clarity, not like docomo or any other.
